a close up of clouds in the sky

The news is presenting many alarming images of the current volcanic eruption on our Island. Currently the areas impacted by the eruption are contained to a small area of the Island in the Southeast corner. The west coast of the Island (including Captain Cook, Kona, Holualoa, Waikoloa, Waimea, Hawi, Kawahaie) are not experiencing effects from the eruption and are open for guests to explore. Learn more about how to help the residents displaced by Kilauea here. You can also check out live web cams of the volcano on USGS’s website.
