Policies

Cancellations:

1 – 4 PASSENGERS : Cancellations must be made at least 48 HOURS prior to departure time to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 48 hours before trip.

5 – 10 PASSENGERS : Cancellations must be made at least 72 HOURS prior to departure time to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 72 hours before trip.

11 + PASSENGERS : Cancellations must be made 7 DAYS prior to departure date to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 7 days remaining before departure date.

PRIVATE CHARTERS Cancellations must be made at least 2 WEEKS prior to departure date to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 14 days remaining before departure date.

Payment is required at time of booking for all trips.

General/Safety:

  • Personal items such as cameras, cell phones, or any other valuables brought on board are at your own risk.
  • SunLight On Water reserves the right to refuse service to anyone due to health or safety reasons.
  • Children under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times.
  • Children under 10 must be under direct adult supervision at all times while on the boat and in the water.
  • Please join us in helping protect our reefs and marine life by using only REEF-SAFE sunscreens. Effective Jan. 1, 2021 this will be mandatory for the State of Hawaii, but let’s get a head start and show we care.

Weather:

If the Captain determines that Ocean or weather conditions are severe enough to cancel a tour, we will do our best to reschedule you. If that is not possible you will be refunded. Fortunately Kona has the best weather in the state so that does not happen often.

NO MANTAS OR DOLPHINS POLICY:  

We do NOT guarantee Mantas or Dolphins. While we see Mantas 85-90% of the time and Dolphins 99% of the time, they are wild animals and their appearance is beyond our control. However, should there be no Mantas or Dolphins on your tour, we invite you to go again on a space available, standby basis. Keep in mine that space may be very limited, especially during peak seasons. If we cannot get you out during your current stay, we will extend the return offer to your next visit. There is no expiration date. Offer is non-transferable and has no cash value. No Refunds will be given…No Exceptions.
