Our Policies
CANCELLATIONS:
1 – 4 PASSENGERS: Cancellations must be made at least 48 HOURS prior to departure time to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 48 hours before the trip.
5 – 10 PASSENGERS: Cancellations must be made at least 72 HOURS prior to departure time to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 72 hours before the trip.
11 + PASSENGERS: Cancellations must be made 7 DAYS prior to the departure date to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 7 days remaining before the departure date.
PRIVATE CHARTERS Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to departure date to receive a full refund. No refund will be offered with less than 7 days remaining before the departure date.
Payment is required at the time of booking for all trips.
GENERAL/SAFETY:
- Personal items such as cameras, cell phones, or any other valuables brought on board are at your own risk.
- SunLight On Water reserves the right to refuse service to anyone due to health or safety reasons.
- Children under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times.
- Children under 10 must be under direct adult supervision at all times while on the boat and in the water.
- Please join us in helping protect our reefs and marine life by using only REEF-SAFE sunscreens. Effective as of Jan. 1, 2021, this is mandatory for the State of Hawaii.
WEATHER:
If the Captain determines that Ocean or weather conditions are severe enough to cancel a tour, we will do our best to reschedule you. If that is not possible you will be refunded. Fortunately, Kona has the best weather in the state so that does not happen often.
NO MANTAS OR DOLPHINS POLICY:
We do NOT guarantee Mantas, Dolphins or Whales. While we see them 85-90% of the time , they are wild animals and their appearance is beyond our control. However, if space is available we will try to bring you out again on your visit. No Refunds will be given…No Exceptions.
